The outer portion comes with exquisite grape, leaf and vine patterns as well as ruby-red foil dots, blue spade pointers center the dial. The Model 83 nickel movement is marked “Adjusted” and is nicely damaskeened. The heavy gold case comes with an overlay 1880 vintage date on the back cover. This overlay date forms a beautiful fancy Gothic pattern, the outer edges are finished with a crisscross design. The total weight of this heavy gold box hinge is 87.7 dwts..
