Thewatch case is 18K gold, and you see the crown is set at 4 o'clock. The watch band is also 18K gold. Solid. We still have the book to this watch.  There is a battery inside, put in by a jeweler about a year ago.  Maybe longer. The battery should still be inside as I am not about to try to get the back off.  the battery is dead and you will have to go to a jeweler and have them put one in. The close up of the back of the watch shows a couple of scratches.. I think it is possible in years past my husband may have tried to remove the back himself to replace the battery..but he doesn't fess up to it. JUst want to show the scratches. I also took a picture from the back of the book, authenticating the watch type, serial number and when it was sold. This is a series 218 and has the tuning fork symbol on the face of the watch. This surely is a collectors find...and I do have a starting bid on the watch. It truly is a gem of a watch.   UPDATE: The watch measures a tad over 71/2 inches from end to end. The clasp is a snap on that goes over the bar..and it is a snug snap meaning it won't just pop opened. There is an extra bar to make the watch a little shorter. My husband's wrist is 7 inches. The watch fits him snug on the first bar. Added pictures. There is no Accutron symbol on the watch band. I think hubby added this many years ago. He dose not recall...Hay were are senior citizen..CRS runs in the family. This watch is for a smaller man.
