Inside of case is stamped with the date stated above, the other inside has "Warranted 14KT U.S ASSAY. F.W.C.CC 26727" This number is either a model or serial number, I do not know much at all about pocket watches so I will provide all stamps and numbers on the watch. Made in the year 1922 On the inside of the gear door there is a stamp  "14K 26727" The Mechanism area is stamped "Illinois Watch Co. Springfield Ill." and also the number "941413" and "Patent Pinion" This Watch weighs a hefty 2.28 Ounces!! A lot of solid gold here! Measures 2 3/16" Long from knob to base and 1 11/16" in Diameter, it is also slightly over 3/8" Thick. All doors open and close great and have excellent "snap", they all stay shut properly, the door to the face has a trigger mechanism on the winding knob and pops open if you push it down. The Face does not have it's glass cover (I think it originally came with one but Im not sure)  It has both the minute and hour hand intact, there is a smaller sub clock which appears to be a "60 Hour" clock, this has one hand which is intact.  The face has 2 very thin and shallow hairline cracks that run horizontally across the top of the face.  Other then that the face is in great condition. The Watch does not work, I have no idea what might be wrong with it, I can tell you that the winding knob twists just fine but is not winding the mechanism or spring.  All gears seem to be intact with none missing and a few of them move freely by spinning it with your finger, the top thick and solid one does not move with your finger but then again I did not push hard.  I am not about to even mess with the gears or open it up as I do not have any experince or knowledge of watch mechanisms and do not want to break anything so everything is left how it has been.  One other thing is the bail is missing from the knob which connects it to a chain. Other then the watch not working and some light damage on the face the watch is in overall great condition.  All doors function properly, knob twists and pops the door open, hinges work smoothly. All hands are intact and all gears and other mechanical pieces seem to be all intact.  All stamps are clear and legible.  Gold is solid and clean with some light tarnish or spots on some parts of the doors, This can be easily cleaned ( I have never cleaned this watch).   This watch is being sold As-Is with no guarantees on condition or functioning.  Please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding and I will answer them in a timely manner.  This seems to be a rare watch, I have not seen one of these on Ebay and I have checked for months, and there is only a handfull of Solid Gold Illinois Pocket Watches on each week.  This would be great for the collector or watch maker and would make a great piece to fix and restore fully.
