I can find no hairlines or flaws even under close scrutiny. The large blued steel hands accurately display the passing time to super bold black numbers, and to the red and black full Montgomery number markers in the outer chapter. Each 5-minute increment is shown in bright red. The sunken auxiliary dial sits right over the 6 o’clock position, and the blue second hand shows the precise seconds to its own crisp black markers. The 10K Rolled Gold Plate case sports a fancy engraved screw-off bezel and back border. He measures apx. 47 mm not including the smoothly setting crown or flexible harp-shaped pendant bow. The case is in excellent overall condition with some light surface scratches on the back but no brassing. Inside the case, his Elgin signed movement is clean and running strong! The plates bear the serial #39943843, placing the year of WW2 production at 1940. He sports 17 Jewels and Screw In Jewel Settings. Each of the 17 Jewels act as tiny bearings to ensures the accuracy and precision of this incredible movement! He keeps excellent time and is ready to proudly display in your collection.
