THANK YOU AND CHECK OUT MY OTHER OPAL AUCTIONS.FOR THOSE OF US THAT LOVE OPAL ABOVE ALL OTHER GEMS IT IS TIMELY TO ADVISE THAT OPAL IS BECOMING MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND AND PRICES ARE INCREASING AS THE SUPPLY OF QUALITY AUSTRALIAN OPAL DRYES UP. THE NEW SOUTH WALES OPAL MINING TOWN OF LIGHTNING RIDGE IS THE WORLDS NUMBER ONE SUPPLIER OF BLACK OPAL(OVER 90%), IN THE MIDD 1990s THE POPULATION OF THE RIDGE WAS AROUND 8,000 PEOPLE, THE CURRENT POPULATION IS BELOW 3,000 AND MOST OF THOSE ARE INVOLVED IN RURAL AND FARMING SUPPORT INDUSTRIES. THE OPAL PRODUCTION IN THE AREA HAS DROPPED TO LESS THAT 20% OF TEN YEARS AGO. OPAL IS DRYING UP IN AUSTRALIA AS IT HAS DONE IN OTHER COUNTRIES OVER THE CENTURIES AND PRICES ARE BEGINNING TO INCREASE DRAMATICALLY, IF YOU WISH TO OWN ONE OF THESE FABULOUS STONES, NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY.
