This superb antique timepiece features a gleaming white gold cushion shaped case which is in near perfect condition with no dents, dings, scuffs or scrapes and no signs of wear. The back cover snaps closed tight and flush and has a subtle striped engraved design which is in good crisp condition and has no personalization. The inside of the cover is marked Famous guaranteed 14k gold filled. The edges of the case have a wonderful engraved design which is ornate and very crisp. The front cover snaps on tight and flush and the gleaming bezel houses a silvery grey dial which is in excellent condition. The dial is accented by crisp black numbers and black minute markers with stunning blued hands and a sunken subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock. The glass crystal is in excellent condition with no marks or scratches, the bow is very tight and the crown winds and sets the watch as it should. The movement is nicely damaskeened and marked Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. USA and serial #26027566 which dates it to circa 1923. The movement runs very strong and smooth when wound and keeps good time.
