Description
SquareTrade © AP6.0THIS WAS A NEW YORK UPPER EAST SIDE ESTATE BUY, MY GUESS IS THAT IT WAS MADE IN THE 1950s, THE OPAL IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM. I HAVE RE-POLISHED THE OPAL AND IT IS PERFECT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS CRACKS AND NOW HAS AN EXCELLENT POLISH. CHECK OUT THE PICTURES, THIS PIECE IS GORGEOUS AND COMES WITH A GIA GRADUATE APPRAISAL FOR $47,000.00. Report #J-319-2 One lady's 14 karat white gold cocktail ring with a 29 mm long by 24 mm wide by 12 mm tall oval shape crown and heavy wire undercarriage supported by an 11 mm to 5 mm wide by 2 mm to 1-1/2 mm thick quadruple heavy wire band which spreads apart at the shoulders. The ring features an oval cabochon cut dark semi-black solid opal slightly elevated in twenty-eight prongs over the center. It is surrounded by twenty-two round single cut diamonds in three-prong settings forming an upper concourse and twenty-six round faceted mixed cut blue natural sapphires in conjoined four-prong settings defining the perimeter. The diamonds measure 1.9 to 2.2 mm in diameter each, weigh an estimated 3/4 carat together and are (VS2-SI2) clarity and (G-H) color. The sapphires gauge as 2.4 to 2.7 mm in diameter each for an estimated weight of 2-1/2 carats together and are dark to very dark moderately strong to strong blue color and (VS-SI2) clarity on the Type II gemstone scale; they have good match. The opal is attributed to be mined from Lightning Ridge and is approximately 16.4 mm long by 12.0 mm wide by 4.15 mm deep and was weighed prior to setting as 5.10 carats. It has orange red with strong transition to green blue full spectrum partitioned broadflash play-of-color and level 4-1/2 fire on a scale of 5 with very good polish and very good symmetry. The ring is of cast manufacture without quality marks and tests as 14 karat gold; it weighs 16.6 grams and is in new condition. ESTIMATED REPLACEMENT COST: $47,000.00. THE RING IS CURRENTLY A SIZE 7 (PLEASE ENQUIRE ABOUT RESIZING ). PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A NATURAL SOLID BLACK OPAL NOT A DOUBLET OR TRIPLET. PLEASE ENQUIRE ABOUT RESIZE. I AM SUPREMELY CONFIDENT IN MY PRODUCT AND OFFER A MONEY BACK GUARANTEE IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE. TAKE THE RISK OUT OF BUYING OPAL AND BUY WITH CONFIDENCE. Payment by Cashiers check, Money order or paypal to ensure a 24 hour turn around. Please no personal checks. Money back guarantee is minus shipping costs and is dated 7 days from receipt of jewelry. Buyer responsible for shipping and insurance. Feel free to e-mail if you have any questions. THANK YOU AND CHECK OUT MY OTHER OPAL AUCTIONS.FOR THOSE OF US THAT LOVE OPAL ABOVE ALL OTHER GEMS IT IS TIMELY TO ADVISE THAT OPAL IS BECOMING MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND AND PRICES ARE INCREASING AS THE SUPPLY OF QUALITY AUSTRALIAN OPAL DRYES UP. THE NEW SOUTH WALES OPAL MINING TOWN OF LIGHTNING RIDGE IS THE WORLDS NUMBER ONE SUPPLIER OF BLACK OPAL(OVER 90%), IN THE MIDD 1990s THE POPULATION OF THE RIDGE WAS AROUND 8,000 PEOPLE, THE CURRENT POPULATION IS BELOW 3,000 AND MOST OF THOSE ARE INVOLVED IN RURAL AND FARMING SUPPORT INDUSTRIES. THE OPAL PRODUCTION IN THE AREA HAS DROPPED TO LESS THAT 20% OF TEN YEARS AGO. OPAL IS DRYING UP IN AUSTRALIA AS IT HAS DONE IN OTHER COUNTRIES OVER THE CENTURIES AND PRICES ARE BEGINNING TO INCREASE DRAMATICALLY, IF YOU WISH TO OWN ONE OF THESE FABULOUS STONES, NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY.
