The watch has clear assay marks for 14K gold.   The watch has been cleaned and serviced and keeps excellent time for its age.   Movement – the ¾ plate lever movement has large gold jewel settings and is jeweled to the centre wheel. The movement is decorated with damascening and is signed “A Stowell & Co, Boston” # 90216 and is in 95% mint condition – some tiny marks only.   Case – the movement comes in a top quality 14K gold Hunter, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply when you press the winder in and all covers close tightly. The case has little beaded detailing around the edges. The case has traces of engine turning and is in 85% mint condition – the bow has gone a little brassy and around 50% of the light engine turning has faded.   Dial – the white enamel dial is signed “A Stowell & Co, Boston”.
