This strand is from Mikimoto's top 3% harvest, and have the quality grade of "A." The cream pearls measure 8.5-8.0 mm in size, and have good luster. They are also beautifully matched and nicely round. This pearl necklace measures 15" in length, and there are 43 pearls on the strand. The necklace is ready to be worn as the pearls were restrung with silk thread by Mikimoto. The clasp, with a 4.4 mm pearl in the center, is sterling silver, and is fully hallmarked "S" with the Mikimoto logo "M" in a cartouche. The strand was appraised on April 30, 2008 by Mikimoto of New York at $6170, and the Certificate of Valuation will be sent to the winnning bidder. In addition, the necklace will come in a new blue suede Mikimoto jacket with outer box, so the winning bidder could present this as a very lovely gift.
